Metode Penelitian Hubungan Internasional (MPHI) in the Department of International Relations, International Women University (IWU), is a compulsory subject that lasts 16 (sixteen) weeks of meetings. This course equips students in learning various approaches, strategies, procedures, and various methods commonly used in International Relations research both academically and practically.

This course will also explore every stage of social research starting from: planning (building research designs), data collection, data management, data analysis, to the drawing conclusions stage.

At the end of this course, students are expected to:

  • Able to understand the different categories of paradigms, strategies and methods of conceptual international relations research.
  • Able to solve practical problems for various constraints and obstacles that occur at every stage of International Relations research.
  • Able to build simple research designs, as well as perform simple analyzes within the scope of International Relations.
